In the shadows

I feel the need to clarify following my last post. I was just intrigued by the fact that I am unstalkable via more conventional means, such as the telephone book or the Internet version of such, but totally available through other means … like here.

I totally wasn’t calling out lurkers or anything. I love lurkers! I am a lurker. Let the lurkers of the world unite.

I slip through the shadows of complete strangers’ blogs — people who have commented once or twice on here, or ones I’ve found through friends’ blogrolls. I’m totally one of those numbers that increase the daily visitor stats of such thought-provoking sites as Erika’s, or such snarky takes on every day life-ness as Krista, or such kindred-spirit journalistic and grammar-fiend tendencies as Crystal. Women I have never, nor will ever, meet.

That’s me, chilling on the fringes, sitting in my living room or office cracking up, or feeling sympathy pangs, or taking a look at how I feel on certain subjects — or saying out loud that, yes, yes, indeed, “Grey’s Anatomy” probably really has jumped the shark, so to speak, and I’m so glad someone else is feeling the sharp pain as much as I.

So, feel free to lurk here as anonymously and frequently as you wish, my dears. But if you ever WANT to say anything … it would make me smile. And I just like to smile, smiling’s my favorite. 🙂
