It had to happen sometime.

I’m working today, yes, on a Saturday, which is not all that unusual. Corporate executives are coming to visit on Monday and I want to finish designing our new literature by then.

As I sit here with my space heater blowing right on me, huddled in a sweatshirt and boots trying to stay warm, I glance out my picture window that spans half of a wall to see not the dusky colored hue of falling leaves but the damp whiteness of the first snow of the year.

That’s right, snow. Before December. Sigh.

The perpetually cold girl inside of me just shuddered and reached for her scarf. And thus the battle for warmth begins until April. Guess I need to put some more meat on this 110-pound body to survive!

However, it IS very pretty, with the huge flakes meandering down into the parking lot from the grey, dense sky. As long as I can enjoy it from inside with a cup of tea. 🙂

And I’ll try to keep the whining to a minimum during the next few months — but I don’t promise anything. 🙂
