Well, there’s history.

Barack Obama moves from Illinois senator to president elect. Now that it’s decided … let’s see what he does with it. No matter what I think or where I stand, I’ll be praying the man has wisdom and decisiveness and truly only does act in the best interest of the country as a whole. If he stays moderate and doesn’t sit in the arms of the Democratic party … and I would say the same thing if McCain had won.

At least America’s colorblind, which I can appreciate. We may be moving toward socialism (and I really do have that fear, don’t tell me it’s not a legitimate concern) … but he could prove me wrong. I hope he fights for the positive aspects of his promises and doesn’t go so far as to make equality a detriment.

I would feel better if Congress had gained a conservative majority, for the sake of checks and balances.

Also … just watched McCain’s concession speech. Way to go, John. Delivered with sincerity and class, and I agree that we need to now look toward the future of the country together. His supporters didn’t show as much class, with all the booing and such. That’s sad. But again, I respect his sincerity.
